National Water Dance

A platform combining AI-powered automation, video processing, and streaming to turn submissions from across the United States into one connected digital experience.

Overview

An upgrade to the National Water Dance 2026 web platform, combining AI-powered automation workflows to process submissions from across the United States and deliver them through a seamless live-streaming experience.

Background

Ahead of its 2026 edition, National Water Dance (NWD Projects) needed to upgrade its WordPress website.

The main challenge was to build a platform capable of managing large-scale participant registrations from across the United States, collecting the inspiration behind each choreography, and receiving video submissions to be featured during the event.

Solutions

To meet these needs, we developed an intuitive WordPress registration form that allows participants from across the United States to easily submit their videos and the creative inspiration behind their choreographies.

Behind the scenes, we engineered an automated workflow using n8n, OpenAI, and FFmpeg to process incoming submissions, enhance visual content with artificial intelligence, and generate unique audiovisual compositions.

Finally, we implemented a pre-recorded live-streaming infrastructure integrated into NWD Projects’ official Sunday Brunch program, creating a seamless and synchronized broadcast experience.

Challenges

The main technical challenge was seamlessly integrating resource-intensive media processing—including FFmpeg rendering and OpenAI-powered content generation—into the n8n architecture without compromising workflow execution times.

We also needed to handle large volumes of high-definition video uploads from different regions across the country while maintaining a unified programming structure that preserved narrative cohesion and kept the official broadcast engaging and dynamic.

Results

The implementation streamlined event operations by eliminating the need for manual audiovisual content management and editing.

AI integration enhanced the visual quality and storytelling of each submission, enabling NWD Projects to deliver an immersive nationwide broadcast that captured the scale and energy of a large, simultaneous collective event.
